Partnering for climate action for children in Africa
UNICEF and partners are delivering bold, climate-resilient solutions to protect children’s rights across Africa
About
Africa’s children are on the frontlines of the climate crisis, facing droughts, floods, heatwaves, and disrupted services. UNICEF’s Sustainability and Climate Change Action Plan (SCAP) outlines five key areas of action: sustainable energy, climate-informed disaster recovery, resilient WASH systems, youth-led climate solutions, and cross-sectoral systems change. These two-pagers showcase how UNICEF and partners are delivering scalable, sustainable impact for children across the continent. Together, we can build a livable planet for every child.
