Analyzing Budgetization and Monitoring of Immunization Expenditures in Madagascar

About
The number of budget lines for “Immunization Unit" has increased from 17 in 2016 to 58 in 2017. In addition to the EPI Directorate, four additional vaccination units were introduced as follows: “Monitoring, Performance, Evaluation and Audit Unit (SEpAPEV)”, “Logistics”, “Surveillance of vaccine-preventable diseases” and “Vaccination Technical Services Unit” (AFA 2016 and AFA 2017). In fact, the country introduced a new fiscal structure in 2017. It is in this context that this study initiated by UNICEF aims to understand the processes of planning, budgeting, implementing and monitoring immunization expenditure in Madagascar.
