UNICEF Interim Representative shares new year's message
In her New Year’s address, Pilar Gonzalez Rams reaffirms UNICEF’s commitment to building a sustainable, equitable future for every child in the Eastern Caribbean
BRIDGETOWN, 31 December 2024 - As we welcome the new year, UNICEF extends its best wishes to all, with a special message from Pilar Gonzalez Rams, Representative ad interim for the Eastern Caribbean Area Office.
In her New Year's message, Ms. Gonzalez Rams emphasized the power of collaboration in facing the challenges and opportunities that 2025 brings. She highlighted the importance of working together with a diverse range of partners, including children themselves, to create a sustainable, equitable, and resilient future for all.
“This year, we reaffirm our commitment to ensuring that no child is left behind,” said Ms. Gonzalez Rams. “For every child, every right.”
With over 18 years of international experience, Ms. Gonzalez Rams has worked in various regions, addressing complex emergencies and focusing on gender and development. Her career includes key roles in several UNICEF offices across the globe, and she has also contributed her expertise to UNHCR and UN Women.
As we look ahead to 2025, UNICEF is excited to continue its work, guided by the vision of a brighter future for every child in the Caribbean and beyond.
