Caribbean children express views in poster competition
Submissions were hand-written or hand painted by children aged 6-10
The poster competition at the Caribbean Child Research Conference highlighted the artistic skills of children across the region depicting a world where children’s rights are respected, and their voices heard.
Participants aged 6-10 submitted dozens of posters on climate change, education, poverty, discrimination and mental health.
According to the instructions, posters were to be hand drawn/painted by children with a title and description.
The top four submissions were from Trinidad and Tobago and in order of first to fourth included Serenity Rampersad, Raiya Ramperine, Farayal Ali, and Amelia Mohammed. Jamie-Lee Marshall from Jamaica placed fifth.
Here’s a look at their lovely posters.
