This Situation Analysis (SitAn) of Children in St. Lucia is part of a series being conducted in
Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean and designed to help governments shape national policies
and action plans in-line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It describes the
current situation of children in St. Lucia, identifies barriers and bottlenecks in advancing children’s
rights in health, education and child protection, and sets forth recommendations.
