Highlights

UNICEF's 2014 Pilot Project engaged oil and gas companies to assess how they manage both negative and positive impacts on children's rights. Through stakeholder interviews and extensive research, the project revealed key insights.

Findings indicate that, apart from child labor, child rights impacts are rarely identified or managed in the oil and gas sector. The study highlights the sector's potential to have both adverse and positive effects on children, emphasizing the need for better integration of child rights into company practices.
