KfW supports developing countries and emerging economies, on behalf of the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), by financing programmes aiming at fighting poverty, maintaining peace and protecting both the environment and the climate. UNICEF and KfW have been working together since 2018 on a multi-sectoral, integrated child survival and development response in Hadjer Lamis, Kanem, Barh El Gazel, and more recently, Mongo.
