UNICEF works in the world's toughest places to reach the most disadvantaged children and adolescents—and to protect the rights of all children, everywhere.
UNICEF, or the United Nations Children's Fund, is a United Nations agency established on December 11, 1946, to meet the long-term needs of children and women in all developing countries.
UNICEF works in more than 190 countries and territories, doing everything in our power to help children survive, thrive, and fulfill their potential, from early childhood through adolescence.
UNICEF began working in the Central African Republic in 1986. Today, UNICEF works in the Central African Republic through programs in health, nutrition, sanitation, education, protection, and emergencies, and by promoting children's participation and voice.
Before, during, and after humanitarian emergencies, UNICEF is on the ground, providing lifesaving assistance and hope to children and families. We never give up.
