Shin Yubin

Ms. Yubin Shin is a Cambodian actress who rose to prominence after winning the Freshie Girls & Boys talent contest in 2014, which led to her first leading role in a television drama. Since then, she has built a successful career across film and television, with several productions achieving widespread popularity. She has also gained international recognition through her participation in major global events, including the Cannes Film Festival, where she drew attention for representing Cambodia. In 2026, she was appointed Cambodian Cultural Ambassador for the Asian Art Film Festival.
Since 2022, Ms. Shin has worked closely with UNICEF Cambodia, supporting advocacy on key issues affecting children and young people. These include online safety, education, healthcare, World Children’s Day, and climate action, as well as fundraising efforts to assist children and families affected by emergencies in 2025 and 2026.
As a UNICEF Cambodia National Ambassador, Yubin uses her voice and platforms to raise awareness of children’s rights, particularly their rights to education, health, protection, and meaningful participation. She amplifies stories and community experiences that help shape public attitudes and influence policy discussions. Through her credibility and reach, she contributes to expanding UNICEF’s engagement with the public, partners, and key stakeholders.
Yubin supports UNICEF Cambodia’s priority programmes and campaigns, including humanitarian response and recovery, prevention of child marriage and violence, promotion of safe online environments and mental health, disability inclusion, and advancing education, life skills, and adolescent participation.
