Amid political instability, conflict and human rights violations, women and children bear the burden in West and Central Africa when an emergency strikes. This report covers UNICEF’s regional response in 2017 to emergencies in the Central African Republic, the Democratic Republic of Congo and the Lake Chad basin, as well as the Congo, Mali and Sierra Leone.
