WASH for Peace Internal and External Advocacy Strategy Canvas

Purpose

This Tool complements WASH contributions to an enabling environment for child rights-based and positive peace and lists generic and suggested inputs that can be adapted to inform internal and external advocacy efforts to raise awareness and promote uptake of conflict sensitivity and peacebuilding approaches by key stakeholders within and outside UNICEF. The external ‘advocacy strategy canvas’ builds on UNICEF’s Global Advocacy Priority 4 which is related to climate change and water insecurity. For more information on the relationship between climate change vulnerability, water insecurity, and conflict please see the WASH for Peace – Conflict Sensitivity and Peacebuilding Programming Guide – ‘STEP 4 – Identifying and leveraging peacebuilding WASH programmatic entry points’ section.
