Highlights

The 2025 UNICEF Tunisia Annual and Partnership Report provides an overview of the key results achieved by UNICEF and its partners for children in Tunisia in 2025. 

• In October 2025, the Government of Tunisia institutionalized a 30 TND monthly child benefit under the AMEN Social programme, reaching over 420,000 vulnerable children aged 6-18. Together with the benefit for children aged 0-5, nearly 600,000 children aged 0-18 from vulnerable families were covered, representing a 443 per cent increase in child benefit coverage since 2020. In addition, over 2,800 children with disabilities received a 20 TND monthly supplement, alongside 5,400 children already covered by the national budget.

• 1,096 out-of-school adolescents re-engaged with education or vocational pathways, while nearly 12,000 children benefited from multidisciplinary support services. More than 700 teachers and education personnel strengthened their language and digital skills. 

• Over 5,100 frontline health workers were trained and 4,600 education staff sensitized as part of the HPV vaccine introduction, while more than 7 million people were reached with information on the rollout. The nationwide digital cold chain platform reached 3,245 users across 2,606 facilities and 4,408 cold-chain assets. In early childhood development, preparatory class coverage reached 95 per cent nationally, positive parenting programmes reached over 3,000 families in 56 localities, and a nutrition education kit was rolled out in nearly 300 preschools, reaching nearly 15,000 children. 

• 3,200 young people implemented 90 community climate initiatives across all 24 regions, while more than 500 young people contributed to the development of a National Strategy for Youth Engagement in Climate Action. Climate-resilient WASH standards for primary schools were developed and technically validated, and over 700 frontline health workers enrolled in online infection prevention and control training.
