Pakistan’s particularly strong monsoon season began on 26 June. As of 12 September 2025, heavy rains and flash floods have resulted in 946 deaths, including 255 children, and 1,062 injuries, including 320 children across the country.

UNICEF launched a multi sectoral response within 72 hours of the onset of the first flood-related emergency, delivering health, nutrition, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), child protection and education support across the affected provinces.
