UNICEF Malawi requires a wide range of inputs for implementation of its Country Programme, the majority of which are sourced locally from Malawian suppliers and service providers. Some of the main categories of UNICEF local procurement in Malawi are:

• Procurement of goods: Ready to Use Therapeutic Food, school furniture, printed materials, children's learning and leisure materials, plastic utensils, bicycles, stationery and office supplies,
• Procurement of services/works: transport and logistic services, construction works and consultancy services, borehole drilling works, financial audit and related assessment services, editorial and printing services, programme related consultancy services and administrative services such as cleaning, gardening, catering, car rental and taxi services, local courier services, hardware and equipment maintenance, internet and IT support services, etc
