Bosco Ng’oma is happily married with three children. Although he has qualifications in Procurement and Logistics Management, he changed his career and studied Transportation Operations Management. He is a qualified Advanced Air Traffic Controller, Flight Procedure Designer and can work with Radar as well as manage safety system. Currently, he is working as a senior air traffic controller, air route designer and an air transport operation in the Department of Aviation.

Having worked for the Government of Malawi for more than 20 years, he wishes to continue serving in the same department but with drones. This is why he applied to join the ADDA. “By the time I leave the Academy, I will be a drone pilot with a Trusted Operator (TOP) level 2, ”  he adds.

With his background in aviation, Bosco plans to use the knowledge and skills gained from the Academy to promote access to basic health services to children who live in hard-to-reach areas and help to reduce infant molarity rates in Malawi.
