Climate change is one of the greatest threats facing children today, disrupting their health, education, and futures. The five year (2025-2030) UNICEF Climate Ventures initiative is designed to bridge the critical gap between groundbreaking local solutions and the capital and expertise needed to scale them.

Building on over a decade’s long experience from the UNICEF Venture Fund, Climate Ventures will identify and invest in early- and growth-stage start-ups developing technologies that protect children, strengthen essential systems, and build resilient communities in the face of a changing climate.

Through annual global calls for applications, Climate Ventures will support a diverse portfolio of bold innovators tackling child-focused climate challenges, from clean energy and water solutions to disaster preparedness and climate-health technologies. The initiative will invest in at least 60 ventures, pairing capital with mentorship and technical support, while unlocking additional financing to scale solutions that work.

By bringing together entrepreneurs, investors, and partners across sectors, Climate Ventures aims to unlock systemic change and deliver scalable, sustainable impact for millions of children in vulnerable communities worldwide.
