Innovation is essential for global progress and development and UNICEF is embracing a new era of innovation. With support from our partners, we can be one step ahead, acknowledging the needs of this generation and recognizing and influencing current trends that pose threats and opportunities for generations to come
Impact Brief 2024 highlights the importance and impact of multisectoral collaborations to unlock the potential of innovation to deliver transformative change for this and coming generations.
The advancement of technology is outpacing regulation and the societal structures and systems they affect. Despite the concerns and fears of its impact on the lives of children, there are opportunities to co-create to discover, iterate and scale digital and non-digital approaches and solutions. In this report, we share progress made on leveraging technology for social impact, to bridge equity gaps and to influence trends and sectors – for every child.
Since 2014, we have helped pilot, accelerate and scale over 200 solutions in 136 countries, directly reaching 29 million people and over 147 million people indirectly. In 2023 alone, we supported 116 countries with over 105 solutions.

As public sector innovation leaders we instigate and catalyze ‘big ticket initiatives that can deliver global impact for children. This is made possible in collaboration with a network of global partners with the shared values to bridge global equity gaps. This network of visionaries span across sectors and geographies.
