The UNICEF Situation Analysis (2016) articulates that, “the main causes and bottlenecks of child abuse are rooted in social norms and social and cultural practices that are being conducted for years in the country. These are strengthened by lack of implementation of the legislation, weak monitoring of cases, underreporting and impunity”
