The King Abdulaziz & his Companions Foundation for Giftedness & Creativity (“Mawhiba”) supports UNICEF programmes

Riyadh, 9 November 2020 – Working together to contribute to achieving UNICEF’s Strategic Plan and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that are relevant to children and their families, The King Abdulaziz & his Companions Foundation for Giftedness & Creativity (“Mawhiba”) supports UNICEF programmes to create transformational change in children’s lives in science and technology.

“It gives us a great pleasure to announce this new partnership with ‘Mawhiba’ which promotes creativity in science and technology among young people,” said Eltayeb Adam, UNICEF Representative for Gulf Area. “In light of the global challenges, the world today witnesses the increased need and importance of innovation and technology. This partnership will offer capacity development programmes for young people to become more creative and empower them to find innovative solutions for challenges they are facing in their communities as responsible global citizens.”

Mawhiba aims to develop giftedness and creativity of young people across the globe. This partnership will foster high-quality lifelong learning in science and technology, share international best practices and cooperation and produce common success stories of the next generation of innovative leaders” said His excellency Dr. Saud Al-Mathami, the Secretary-General of The King Abdulaziz & his Companions Foundation for Giftedness & Creativity (“Mawhiba”).

Thousands of youth and young people will benefit from this partnership in Jordan and Egypt, through postgraduate training, joint seminars, conferences, forums and exhibitions in the field of creativity and innovation.
