• Procurement and distribution of water purification tablets, flocculants, water filters, and containers, serving 49,268 people

• Distribution of critical WASH supplies including hygiene kits and menstrual hygiene supplies wit hygiene promotion communication impacting 85,676 people

Child Protection

• Mental health and psychological services for 100,697 people
• Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE) scale-up reaching 66,477 people
• Capacity strengthening of 4,860 project staffs
• Strengthening of community engagement in child protection in emergencies reached 3,472 child protection group members

Social Protection

• An additional 23,110 children and adults registered in the Disability Management Information System.
• Delivery of child disability benefits and support services to 17,038 families with a total household population of 83,972

Health

• Increased access to primary health care services for women and children under five 188,055 people (67,257 girls, 88,952 boys, 25,872 women, 5,974 men from conflict-affected areas, including 71,460 internally displaced persons and 10,650 pregnant women)

WASH: UNICEF supported improved access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) services for vulnerable populations through targeted interventions in learning centres, healthcare facilities and communities.

• 382,000 people (179,000 children) received essential WASH services
• WASH improvements were completed in 116 learning centres
• WASH rehabilitation works in 17 healthcare facilities and medical points
• Hygiene promotion campaigns implemented across 23 sites reached approximately 38,000 people

Health: UNICEF supported the continuity of essential primary healthcare services for conflict -affected women, children and vulnerable populations through mobile health teams, health facility support and community -based health promotion.

• 406,068 people accessed essential health services
• UNICEF-supported mobile health teams delivered 120,879 primary healthcare consultations
• Maternal health services reached 14,143 pregnant women with antenatal care and 3,616 women with postnatal care, while 60,317 women and caregivers participated in health and nutrition education sessions
• UNICEF-supported Neonatal Intensive Care Unit provided life-saving care for approximately 350 newborns
• Procured specialized equipment for 12 additional NICUs, expected to improve neonatal care for an estimated 1,080 newborns annually

The expected outcome is that mortality and morbidity are reduced, and educational status is increased, for vulnerable children and communities through protective educational environments, safe water and adequate sanitation, and improved child and maternal health. This will be achieved through the following:

Output 1: Children have increased access to safe, inclusive, and conducive learning environments and non -formal education opportunities.

Output 2: Affected communities have improved and sustainable access to safe drinking water, adequate sanitation, and sustainable operation of WASH (water, sanitation, and hygiene) facilities.

Output 3: Access to quality neonatal, child, and maternal health is improved in hospitals, health centres, and communities.

Education: UNICEF strengthened access to safe, inclusive and quality learning opportunities for children across Syria through school rehabilitation, non-formal education programmes and teacher capacity building, with a particular focus on returnee and crisis-affected populations.

• 71,231 people, including children and teachers, benefited from education interventions
• 58,383 children gained access to safe, inclusive learning environments and non-formal education programmes
• School rehabilitation, installation of 18 classrooms and provision of education supplies improved learning conditions for 19,286 children
• 39,097 out-of-school and at-risk children accessed non-formal education, including accelerated and remedial learning programmes, supporting their reintegration into formal education
• Capacity building on psychosocial support, safe schools, early childhood education and digital learning strengthened teachers' and education personnel's ability to provide protective, quality learning environments

WASH: UNICEF expanded access to safe drinking water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) services through systems strengthening, water supply rehabilitation and emergency response interventions, prioritizing return areas and communities affected by displacement, drought and wildfires.

• 1,052,000 people gained access to safe drinking water, sanitation and hygiene services, exceeding the original target of 600,000 people
• Critical water supply rehabilitation was implemented across nine governorates
• Emergency WASH support responded to wildfires in coastal and central Syria and severe drought conditions in northeast Syria
• WASH interventions prioritized return areas to support displaced families rebuilding their lives with access to essential water services

Health: UNICEF improved access to quality maternal, newborn and child health services through support to health facilities, medical supply distribution and health worker capacity building across Syria.

• 711,419 women and children accessed quality maternal, newborn and child health services
• Essential medical supplies, equipment and vaccines were distributed across all 14 governorates, including vaccines against Hepatitis B and Diphtheria
• Paediatric medical kits, incubators, phototherapy units and ventilators strengthened life-saving care in health facilities
• Health workers received training on maternal, newborn and child health, while community volunteers were trained through the Healthy Villages Programme to strengthen community-based health services
