Resilience for Children+ Partnership

Innovating Humanitarian Action for a Resilient Generation

About the Partnership

The Resilience for Children+ Partnership marks a new phase in the collaboration between the Government of the Republic of Korea and UNICEF, reflecting Korea’s emergence as a principled humanitarian leader at a time of growing global need. Announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the 20th Annual Consultation in December 2024, this partnership is part of Korea’s new Humanitarian Flagship Framework, designed to channel larger, multi-country investments into high-impact, people-centred responses.

With a total first year commitment of $55 million — including an initial $45 million investment in Ethiopia, Myanmar, the State of Palestine, and Syria and an additional $10 million for the Democratic Republic of the Congo and South Sudan — the partnership represents the largest annual humanitarian contribution ever made by the Republic of Korea to UNICEF. It comes at a moment when many traditional donors are scaling back, and Korea has stepped forward — advancing a model of humanitarian cooperation that bridges relief, recovery, and peacebuilding while ensuring transparency and measurable results.
