The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) is Korea’s leading development cooperation agency and a critical partner to UNICEF.  With 47 strategically positioned overseas offices, including 27 priority partner countries, KOICA works with UNICEF at the field level and in Seoul to ensure strong programmatic alignment. Current thematic priorities in UNICEF’s partnership with KOICA include Climate Action, Education, Health, WASH, as well as the critical cross-cutting issues of Gender Equality and Disability Inclusion. In all areas of our collaboration, we seek strategic entry points to maximize the impact of Korean investments in UNICEF’s programmes, technical exchange opportunities (including through KOICA’s Multilateral Cooperation Officer (KMCO) initiative), and joint advocacy. Our partnership exemplifies the immense potential of strategically aligning resources, including working with the Korean ecosystem of partners, to promise a better future for children in our rapidly changing world.
