Korea Institute for Curriculum and Evaluation
Collaborating on joint advocacy and technical exchanges
The Korea Institute for Curriculum and Evaluation (KICE), established in 1998 as a government-funded research institute, is dedicated to improving the quality of elementary and secondary school education. It conducts comprehensive research on curricula and assessments, formulates educational policies, and ensures the practical application of research outcomes. Positioned as a leader in curriculum, teaching, and learning research, KICE is committed to shaping the future of education in the Republic of Korea, while also supporting global education initiatives. At the international level, KICA conducts international training on educational curriculum and supports technical exchanges among education practitioners and specialists. UNICEF and KICE currently collaborate on a range of education initiatives, including joint advocacy, technical exchanges, and development and delivery of education programmes.
