The Korean Educational Development Institute (KEDI) is a pioneer in educational reform, committed to achieving better learning outcomes in Korea and in partner countries. The organization was established in 1972 to lead educational development in Korea. At present, it undertakes evidence-based research, which it translates into evidence-informed policy-making, it participates in international exchange programmes and conferences, and it conducts joint research on educational statistics. KEDI lends its support, expertise, and guidance to partner organizations and countries that strive to increase the quality of their education systems. KEDI and UNICEF currently have a technical exchange partnership in the East Asia and Pacific region.
