Empowering Girls for a more inclusive Belize
#ForEveryChildEquality
This past Saturday, UNICEF, in partnership with the Department of Youth Services, hosted a consultation engaging over 60 adolescent girls from Water Walkers Boys and Girls Club in Belize City.
The event featured sessions on children's rights (CRC), leadership, mental health, and self-care. It aimed at helping these adolescent girls understand their rights, unlock their potential, and empower them to actively participate in decisions that affect their lives and development.
Providing safe spaces for young people to have open conversations and support their personal growth is a critical step toward ensuring a more equitable and inclusive future for Belize.
Through continued partnership and collaboration, we can create more opportunities for adolescents to meaningfully engage in decision-making processes and promote their overall development.
