What we do

UNICEF works with various partners to provide programmes that enable equitable and sustained realisation of the right of every women and child in Zimbabwe to survival, development and protection.

We help to improve access to quality maternal, neonatal, and child health services in order to increase survival chances for the mother, the child and the newborn baby.

We help to increase equitable use of nutrition services and improve nutrition and care practices among infants, young children, and mothers.

We help to increase access to prevention services and expand treatment for children, pregnant women, and adolescents living with HIV.

Water, sanitation and hygiene
We help to expand equitable use of safe drinking water, sanitation, and improve hygiene practices.

The education program focuses on improving equitable access, quality of learning, and system strengthening.

Child protection
We ensure that children, families, communities access improved child protection services reinforced by social protection measures which strengthen household & community resilience.

Social policy, research & development
We support development and implementation of policies that protect children and improve the inclusion of marginalized children in national policies and development programmes.
