Highlights

The 2018 Country Office Annual Report testifies to another busy year for UNICEF in Zambia, including responding to the influx of refugees from the Democratic Republic of Congo, supporting the cholera epidemic response, and implementing the Millennium Development Goal Initiative, funded by the European Union. As we approach the 30th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, there is much to celebrate, from declining infant mortality to rising school enrollment. But this historic milestone must also serve as an urgent reminder that much remains to be done.

The following pages of this report highlight our support to the Government of Zambia and the people of Zambia in 2018. None of this would have been possible without the close collaboration with the Government, our many partners, implementing NGOs and community organisations.
