United Nations Partner Portal increases transparency and strengthens partnership management processes
Partner portal facilitates efficient partnership management
Lusaka Zambia 14th April 2022- The United Nations Secretariat, United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR), United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) and World Food Programme (WFP) have joined forces to deliver the UN Partner Portal, a platform for Civil Society Organizations to engage with the UN on partnership opportunities in Zambia. The portal will serve as a single point of entry for identification of partners.
The UN Partner Portal (UNPP) is designed to facilitate a harmonized, efficient and easy collaboration between the UN in Zambia and its partners. It will increase the visibility of all current and potential partnerships while improving partnership management processes and will be the mechanism through which all implementing partnership proposals will be submitted and evaluated.
UNPP will provide more transparency in the selection process of civil society partners, establish real-time mapping of potential and current partners and serve as the single point of entry for all partners helping remove duplication amongst the five UN agencies.
Civil Society Organizations will have access to partnership opportunities and be able to submit proposals for projects through UPPP. The use of the platform is one of the requirements with partnering with UNFPA, UNCHR, UNICEF, WFP and the UN Sectretariat in Zambia, and organizations are invited to create their profiles at www.unpartnerportal.org. International NGOs are requested to contact their headquarters for creation of a profile.
Organizations who have already created a profile do not need to do so a second time.
UNICEF promotes the rights and wellbeing of every child, in everything we do. Together with our partners, we work in 190 countries and territories to translate that commitment into practical action, focusing special effort on reaching the most vulnerable and excluded children, to the benefit of all children, everywhere.
