Highlights

To strengthen the health system in Yemen, the Emergency Health and Nutrition Project (EHNP) supported and funded by the International Development Association – the World Bank’s fund for the poorest countries – and the United Nations’ agencies UNICEF and WHO was established in 2017. The project supports 72 hospitals, 1,970 primary health care facilities and has also improved water supplies and sanitation system in the country.
