Video: Partnerships for children - With support from Japan, reaching the most vulnerable in Yemen

11 June 2017 - In 2016, the Government of Japan and UNICEF agreed to implement a multi-sectoral project in response to the increasing humanitarian needs in Yemen. Japan’s support enabled UNICEF to vaccinate over 670,000 children against polio and 130,000 pregnant and lactating women against tetanus. More than 250,000 children were screened for malnutrition, and 10,000 children with severe acute malnutrition were treated.
