UNICEF-supported MICS3 report launched
On November 30, 2007 in Hanoi the UNICEF-supported Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey 3 (MICS3) report was launched. MICS is a household survey programme developed by UNICEF to assist countries in filling data gaps for monitoring the situation of children and women. It is capable of producing statistically sound, internationally comparable estimates of these indicators. The MICS3 was carried out by the General Statistics Office in Viet Nam, with technical and financial support from UNICEF, as part of the third round of MICS surveys being conducted globally, with rounds one and two taking place in 1995 and 2000 respectively.
