Radio still has the greatest reach of any of the mass media, especially in the world’s poorer and more rural areas.  Every day radio gives voice to the concerns of communities, families and children and provides a channel of vital information both in times of peace and in times of crisis.  That is why UNICEF is committed to supporting this medium by developing partnerships and providing a range of products.

Outstanding Children's Radio
Read about and listen to outstanding radio created by, with and for children.

Audio Features
UNICEF produces radio interviews and packages, with transcripts, on latest current events affecting children worldwide.
These features are available free for broadcasters to download and retransmit.

International Children's Day of Broadcasting
Each year thousands of children take to the air as radio reporters, presenters and producers, marking the International Children's Day of Broadcasting. To recognize the many outstanding efforts in this field, and to encourage even broader involvement of children in radio, UNICEF has also launched a children’s radio prize in partnership with OneWorld.

For every child
A series of 5 PSAs that highlight the main areas of UNICEF's global activities: Health, Education, Equality, Protection. Narrated by some of UNICEF's most well-known Goodwill Ambassadors.
