Highlights

Uganda’s first ever National Play Day

The Play Day celebrates play as one of the most transformative forces in a child’s life. Over 600 people including decision-makers, government officials, educators, caregivers, children, partners, and members of the private sector in Uganda will gather to explore and demonstrate the power of play.

The Play Day will offer opportunity to learn why play is so important for children’s development, to hear from children about what play means to them, to hear from decision makers their ambitions on how to transform learning though play, and – of course - to play a little ourselves!

The National Play Day is organized by the Government of Uganda with support from UNICEF, The LEGO Foundation, Education Cannot Wait and Plan International, in partnership with civil society organizations and other stakeholders.
