Turkmenistan, as an active member of the international community, was among first States to have formally accepted all 17 Sustainable Development Goals, by adapting them to the national plans and strategies on socio-economic development.

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development is the result of international efforts in finding solutions to modern challenges. Turkmenistan, as an active member of the international community, participated in the elaboration of goals to achieve sustainable development and became one of the first States to have formally accepted all 17 Sustainable Development Goals, by adapting them to the national plans and strategies on socio-economic development. The 2030 Agenda is the main strategy of the country that will help to deepen the social orientation of existing national policies and achieve a balanced development of the country in three dimensions - social, economic and environmental. Turkmenistan, in view of the indivisibility of the Sustainable Development Goals, takes a comprehensive approach to its implementation, as reflected in the Voluntary National Review.
