As at 30 April 2016, it is estimated that approximately 720,000 of the 7.9 million people living in the six most affected provinces have been impacted by the earthquake that struck Ecuador on 16 April 2016. About 350,000 people are in need of urgent assistance, of which 250,000 are children and adolescents. Field assessments confirm significant levels of damage.
