The high bay is the main storage area – and is designed for efficiency. Robots do not queue when they pick items because different supply items are spread evenly across 36,000 pallet spaces. In line with the “first in, first out” warehouse principle, robots move supplies with closer expiry dates nearer the front so these can be reached more quickly.
