Joint statement on early childhood education for all

Tokyo, 28 August 2019 - “It is time for a world ready to learn, where all children have access to quality early childhood education and enter school equipped with the skills they need to learn, succeed and prosper.” The joint statement on early childhood education was presented today by United Nations of Children’s Fund (UNICEF) , the African Union, the Global Partnership for Education, the Africa Early Childhood Network, the World Bank Group and Global Citizen.

In the statement, the organizations call on the global community to take collective and complementary action on five interlinked areas that are crucial to achieve transformational and cost-effective change for young children and nations.
