A Wishbook

Dear Child,

This workbook is full of games and things to do.

And also things to think about.

This book is to help you decide what kind of life you want to live, now, and in the future.

Any ideas you have, say what they are. Try to draw and write them down. If you cannot do this, find someone who can work with you and can write down your thoughts.

If you are with other children and adults, work together. You might sort out your ideas better this way.

The end of the workbook is very important. This is where you will make a special list of the things most important to you. These are things that you want in life to make it better and more enjoyable.

The way to make these wishes of yours a reality you will need the support and help of those who care about you and your future.

How can this be done?

Your wishes, along with those of other children, will be recorded on the last page, cut out and placed in the safekeeping of those responsible for your community.

These wishes will be taken into consideration by your community which will work towards their implementation.

We suggest that every year, on a chosen festive day, your wishes will be reviewed to see what has been achieved and what still needs to be done.

Enjoy yourselves, and remember, make sure you hand in your wishes to the person who gave you the handbook.
