Girl's Reproductive Health, Rights and Empowerment Accelerated in Tanzania (GRREAT)

GRREAT programme brief: This programme brief provides a brief overview of the Girls Reproductive Health, Rights and Empowerment Accelerated in Tanzania (GRREAT) initiative, jointly implemented by UNICEF and UNFPA and supported by Global Affairs Canada (GAC) to assist the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania and the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar to respond to challenges faced by adolescents. This five-year multi-sectoral initiative focuses on Mbeya and Songwe regions in Tanzania mainland and all districts of Unguja and Pemba islands in Zanzibar. GRREAT baseline brief: This baseline brief provides the key findings and recommendations from the baseline study conducted for the Girls Reproductive Health, Rights and Empowerment Accelerated in Tanzania (GRREAT) initiative, jointly implemented by UNICEF and UNFPA and supported by Global Affairs Canada (GAC) to assist the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania and the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar to respond to challenges faced by adolescents. The study included the innovative Girls Empowerment Index to assess the level of empowerment of adolescent girls in ten domains of empowerment. Operational guidance on CHW and YPE pairing: This document is the operational guidance on the implementation of innovative community health worker and youth peer educator approaches to promote Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health, HIV Prevention, Nutrition and Rights within the GRREAT Initiative in Mbeya and Songwe regions.
