UNICEF works in close collaboration with the President’s Office, Finance and Planning, and selected Ministries, Departments, and Agencies to prepare annual budget analyses for social sectors.

These budget issue papers analyze the size and composition of Zanzibar's FY 2021/22 budget allocations to sectors that matter most for children (education, health, social protection, water and sanitation). They offer insights into the efficiency, equity, and adequacy of past spending and provide an overview of key public financial management bottlenecks affecting social services delivery.
