Working together
In 2019, the collective effort of the Supply Community through joint problem solving, continuous improvement, innovation and collaboration made the year’s achievements possible.
The UNICEF Supply Community behind our results
The UNICEF Global Supply and Logistics Hub is located in Copenhagen, Denmark, but the backbone of the organization’s supply and logistics function is its Supply Community. Spanning the globe, our colleagues work together with the common goal of achieving results for children.
The Supply workforce in UNICEF is based on a strong sense of belonging, a shared expertise and a fierce commitment to getting supplies to children so they can have an equitable chance at life in a safe and clean environment.
To maximize impact, members of the Supply Community are guided by the UNICEF Global Supply Strategies, bringing across-the-board expertise and substantial professional experience, to all stages of the supply chain – from procurement and contracting to transport, warehousing and emergency preparedness and response. It is the culture of continuous professional development and knowledge exchange that allows UNICEF to bring innovations, tools and strategies to scale.
The collective effort of the Supply Community through joint problem solving, continuous improvement, innovation and collaboration made the 2019 achievements reported in this volume possible. This spirit will continue to nurture the development of more and better ways of working as we scale up our impact to help realize children’s rights.
