UNICEF Supply Division hosted a Supplier Conference for manufacturers of Ready to Use Lipid Based Foods (RUTF and RUSF) in Copenhagen on March 19, 2013

The one day conference, organised in collaboration with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) and World Food Programme (WFP), provided the opportunity to meet face to face with the industry. Updates and opportunities to enhance the quality of these important products for children in need were discussed. The presentations focused on quality assurance for RUTF and RUSF products, including the producers perspective of new specifications, microbiological safety of RUTF as well as a review of microbiological product specifications.
