Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) Vaccine Supply and Demand Update

Despite high vaccination coverage rates, tuberculosis (TB) remains one of the world’s most lethal infectious diseases and the greatest cause of mortality by a single infectious agent. UNICEF provides revised information on Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) vaccine supply availability and demand. Following a period of constrained supply, there is now sufficient availability to meet all country requirements for 2019 and beyond from diverse sources of affordable and flexible supply. UNICEF encourages countries to expand country supply security by licensing additional vaccine products from multiple manufacturers.
