Interagency Emergency Health Kit

UNICEF provides an information note on the Interagency Emergency Health Kit (IEHK) packed by UNICEF. The IEHK is specifically designed to be self-sufficient to meet the priority health needs of a population of 10,000 people, for a three months, affected by emergencies with limited access to routine health care services. It is ideal for rapid deployment and prepositioning as part of emergency response preparedness. In order to facilitate secondary dispatch, transport, handling, and inventory management in emergency situations by field and logistic staff, UNICEF introduced a new and innovative labelling structure, colour coding, and symbols.
