Sanitation Market Shaping Strategy Brief

UNICEF provides a local market strategy brief in support of carefully targeted actions that can be catalytic in shaping local sanitation markets on the basis of an in-depth market needs assessment and analysis. The strategy is designed to activate and stimulate demand for a diverse range of appropriate sanitation products and services, as well as to entice new suppliers to enter the market, and more active engagement by existing suppliers. Ultimately, it is to shape healthy, vibrant, and sustainable local markets, to enable access to adequate and equitable sanitation and hygiene for all, and help end open defecation.
