Highlights
- July was Gaza’s deadliest month for child malnutrition deaths, with 24 children under five
dying, representing 85 per cent of all such deaths in 2025. - Over 500,000 people, one in four residents of Gaza, are facing famine. All 320,000 children
under five are at risk of acute malnutrition, increasing their vulnerability to childhood illnesses
and potential long-term physical and mental health. - Gaza hospitals are overwhelmed, handling an average of eight mass casualty incidents per
day, with rare diseases like Guillain-Barré Syndrome also claiming child lives. - More than 44,800 people (84.7 per cent children) accessed primary healthcare through
UNICEF-supported facilities in the Gaza Strip. - In the northern West Bank, some 33,000 Palestinians, including 14,000 children, remain
displaced due to the ongoing “Iron Wall” operation. - UNICEF requires US$ 434.4 million to meet urgent humanitarian needs as conditions
deteriorate.
