This budget brief is one in a series that explores the government budget of the Federal Republic of Somalia. The brief analyzes the macro-economic situation as well as the size and composition of budget allocations to sectors that affect children in fiscal year 2022/23. It also offers insights into the efficiency, effectiveness, equity and adequacy of past spending. The main objectives are to synthesize complex budget information so that it is easily understood by stakeholders and to put forth practical recommendations to improve social spending which benefits children.
