Affiliated Network for Social Accountability in East Asia and the Pacific
Launched in February 2008, ANSA-EAP is a regional network promoting the practice of social accountability by providing a common platform for exchange of information and experience and by providing capacity building opportunities and technical assistance to citizen groups and governments. African Child Policy Forum
The African Child Policy Forum's goal is to put the African child on the public agenda. They want to make sure that their voices are heard on the issues that affect them. The rights and welfare of children are at the heart of their work, programmes and projects.

The Centre for Budget and Governance Accountability works to promote transparent, accountable and participatory governance, and a people-centred perspective in preparation and implementation of budgets.

Committee on the Rights of the Child

International Budget Partnership
The International Budget Partnership works primarily with researchers and NGOs in developing countries or new democracies. The resources section features a number of useful links to sites with information on budget issues.

Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development
The Social Expenditure Database was developed in order to serve a growing need for indicators of social policy. It includes reliable and internationally comparable statistics on public and mandatory private social expenditure at programme level.

United Nations Department for Economic and Social Affairs on Financing for Development
The objective of the Financing for Development Office is to provide effective secretariat support for sustained follow-up within the United Nations system to the agreements and commitments reached at the International Conference on Financing for Development, as contained in the Monterrey Consensus. The group also supports financing for development-related aspects of the outcomes of major United Nations conferences and summits in the economic and social fields, including the development goals set out in the United Nations Millennium Declaration.

United Nations Development Fund for Women on Gender Responsive Budgeting
This website strives to support the efforts of governments, women’s organizations, members of parliaments and academics to ensure that planning and budgeting effectively respond to gender equality goals. The site also provides practitioners with a variety of resources, assessments and training materials on gender responsive budgeting.

United Nations Development Programme for Community of Practice e-Discussion
Members of UNDP's Poverty Reduction Practice Network selected pro-poor fiscal policies and the Millenium Development Goal-consistent medium term expenditure framework as priority areas deserving more attention from the network. In response, this e-discussion was organised to bring together diverse experts and practitioners working in this area.

United Nations Development Programme for Poverty Reduction
Budgets are the primary vehicle for channeling resources to government functions, including poverty reduction. In order to support countries' efforts to collect, allocate and manage public funds in a 'pro-poor' fashion, UNDP promotes the design and implementation of fiscal policies for poverty reduction and provides technical support to the formulation of poverty reduction strategies to achieve the Millennium Development Goals.

United Nations Habitat Manual on Participatory Budgeting
This training companion is part of the effort to build capacity of local government practitioners in introducing participatory budgeting in local government in Africa. The companion was developed with a view to providing users with information, tool, methodologies, case studies and tips on how participatory budgeting can be introduced.

The World Bank on Public Financial Management
This database contains a collection of current reference material on Public Financial Management (PFM) reforms, drawn from a wide variety of sources within and outside the World Bank.  It is designed to provide easy access to current knowledge on different aspects of public financial management reform.
