The Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, Ana Brnabic, spoke today with the Representative of UNICEF in Serbia, Regina De Dominicis, about the importance of the operation of this United Nations fund in our country and the expansion of cooperation with the Government of Serbia and relevant institutions.
Brnabic expressed her gratitude to the UNICEF Representative for the exceptional work of this agency in improving the position and promoting the protection of the rights of children in our country.
It was agreed that the partnership between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and UNICEF will continue to be strengthened, with a focus on reforming education starting from preschool and developing the National Action Plan for Children.
Serbia is leading a responsible and human policy in the field of child protection, which shows, above all, efforts to improve the conditions for children and young people, especially those who are at risk, De Dominicis said.
The Prime Minister expressed her belief that UNICEF will continue to achieve outstanding results in the field of its activities, adding that the Serbian government is ready to provide full support and assistance to their work in Serbia.
