Belgrade, 24 August 2018 – First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Ivica Dacic received the new Representative of UNICEF in Serbia, Ms. Regina De Dominicis, who took over her duties as of 23 August 2018.
In a cordial and open conversation, Minister Dacic welcomed the contribution of the UNICEF Office in Belgrade for the overall efforts to improve the position and protection of child rights in the Republic of Serbia.
He pointed out the importance of UNICEF's engagement and the need to continue good cooperation that UNICEF has with the relevant institutions in Serbia.
The head of Serbian diplomacy estimated that UNICEF in Serbia has achieved significant results and has been recognised as a leading international agency by the public in providing assistance and protecting the rights of the child.
Minister Dacic wished the new UNICEF Representative successful cooperation with the relevant institutions of the Republic of Serbia, with the promise of full personal support and support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs where it is needed.
